29 Aug WA riders to watch @ Cairns
From September 5-10th 2017, the world’s best cross country and downhill riders hit Tropical North Queensland (Smithfield Conservation Park, James Cook University) for the 2017 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships!
The 2017 event will feature over 300 riders from 35 countries competing in the cross country (XCO) and Downhill (DHI) disciplines.
Sam Hill – Downhill
A name synonymous with mountain biking (downhill and endure) Sam Hill will be making his way to the start line as part of the Elite Downhill (DH) team. Ranked Numero Uno in the 2017 Enduro World Series, can he mix it with the best of the Downhill World. #footoutflatout

Reece Tucknott – Cross Country
The Tucknott family are THE WA mountain bike family.
Reece Tucknott will pedal it out with the best of the world in the Under 23 Category – Cross Country Championships. Making a name for himself on the international mountain bike stage, Reece is aiming for big results as he edges closer towards the start line of the 2018 Commonwealth Games. #eyesontheprize
Sarah Tucknott – Cross Country
Sister to Reece, Sarah is making her Australian team debut in the Under 19’s Women’s cross country squad. With 2 national titles and one road title to her name, Sarah is a seasoned competitor. Bouncing back from injury, Sarah will be one rider to watch. #dowhatyoulove
